mrs shaniera akram

Shaniera Akram is an Australian social worker, Philanthropist and public relation consultant. She is wife of legendary Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram. She has worked on major Australian fashion festivals, international events, clothing brand store openings, restaurants, and product launches.   

Shaniera is CEO of The Akram Foundation, engaging in various kinds of social work, community service, philanthropy projects and charitable causes. Her work has included collecting charity for hospitals, promoting health and fitness, raising environmental awareness, speaking up about road safety, recycling and access to clean drinking water, and working as an ambassador for The Fred Hollows Foundation in Pakistan which provides free treatment for the visually impaired.

TDC Australia’s secondary aim is to assist our sister organization, The Diabetes Centre Pakistan, in building and running various projects for diabetes and prevention of its various complications. Our team of experts provides telehealth services for diabetes and renal care at TDC Charity Murree Expressway Islamabad Pakistan and also support free dialysis services to poor and needy people there.

  • TDC provides compassionate and value-based treatment for sufferers of diabetes, kidney disease, and heart disease. To date, TDC Pakistan has served more than 200,000 patient visits, out of which 64% patients have received free diabetes care facilities. TDC has conducted more 6,000 procedures, saving more than 2,300 amputations and over 500 patients’ vision.
